Last month I received a gift of handmade, natural soaps and now that I’ve been using them I can definitely say that they keep their promise. In between cats, horses, paint, dye chemicals, gardening and the usual reasons, I wash my hands a lot and had been noticing that my knuckles have become very dry and scruffy over the winter. Now that is completely gone without any use of lotion, my hands are very soft again.
The coffee soap was meant to remove difficult stains and smells, and although there is no perfume added, yep, that works too. I’ve forgotten photographic proof however, so you will have to trust me.
And lastly I had the notion to try cleaning a couple of old well-smoked oil paintings last weekend. The result speaks for itself.
So thank you MotherOwl for letting me try your soaps! (webshop in Danish only)
I just had to add this photo of newly cleaned beeswax from MotherOwl’s bees: Like concentrated sunlight!

I got some homemade (glycerin) sangria-scented soap for Christmas. So nice and perfect to soothe dry skin. What a luxury.
