Drip drop
Drying the wool was taking forever, so now I have all my buckets in play. I also switched from vinegar to citric acid, because working in the same room as the dye pots are a headache waiting to happen.
Rug dyeing
With no fixed idea for a design (rather, I’ve had so many my head is just muddled now, and a family crisis didn’t help much) I decided to dye some wool first and then see if I know what it wants. Anyhow, I now have my rug roving and dyeing can commence. I haven’t decided on a pattern, once my options are limitless I become paralyzed it seems. But I do have a vague colour scheme, so I’m going to weigh out the amount, see what it looks like on the other side and take it from there.
Window Wednesday
I thought we needed a bit of colour in my new room, so I rummaged through the garage for my bottles. I haven’t seen these since we moved into the house, they used to be lined up on a shelf under the wall to wall skylights in our old flat. But glass and kittens don’t mix well..
