Just the one mind you. A few of you may remember me whining about how long the recovery took after my fall 2Ā½ years ago, but I’d finally gotten to a point where it was ancient history, I could open my own jars and everything.

Until this morning. It’s like it’s been newly injured, and I’ve considered not drinking anything all day to eliminate the hassle of getting my pants off and on as a result.

So I wonder, do you think it’s too late to find out what went wrong with it back then?

Well, I guess an opportunity to practice left hand skills – but no weaving. No breakfast either, I just determined I can’t hold onto the bread and carve it at the same time! Utterly ridiculous if you ask me; I think I’m becoming just a little bit tired of all this nonsense.

Anxiously waiting for days of sitting in the garden, not by the woodstove. šŸ™‚ We’ll be back some time after this unscheduled break.

Getting on

I’ve contemplated renaming the blog “Trivialities of common life” or some such, because everything has slowed down so much even my thoughts are frozen.

And I’m beginning to realize that I can’t keep postponing all of my projects until I have space to do them unhindered, because that studio thing is going to take forever and ever to be done. So long that I’m beginning to suspect I won’t be needing it anymore, because I’ll have come to a complete creative standstill, my last remnants of intelligence content to ponder the laundry…

Or I can begin to kick start myself again and try to ignore that the kittens destroy everything I touch. šŸ˜‰ Oh well, it was worth a shot to minimize house cleaning, but I guess I found out the price is boredom. Time to get messy.

Breaking

This is what my fix for not having a second warp beam looks like (the clamps are temporary – I broke the cordless drill. They’re all my personal clamps btw, the big iron ones I inherited from my grandad).
