So now it’s tethered, and that seems to work so I can get the cucumbers out next week I think. Still storming. 12° daytime.

I don’t think I could ever make this sort of thing work–the winds off the lake here can get wild. Our big wood Adirondack chairs are tipped over regularly so I think plastic sheeting would just disintegrate!
I have no idea how long it will last, perhaps a week, a month, all summer if it quiets down. It’ll be pulled down as soon as harvest is done. But a fun experiment nonetheless.
