Tansy leaves on silk

This year I’ve harvested much earlier compared to 2012 and 2013. No flowers in sight and the plants only half their finished height. Usual procedure!

And so I’ve used up one cone of silk singles, here’s my little collection:

My computer is due for an overhaul, with everything being reinstalled, so although I’ll have web access, not a lot will be happening on the picture side of things. Unless I learn to instagram with our little tablet! (I only use it as a kindle) I won’t have access to my data disc with images during this time either, so unless I stock up on blog posts it may be a little while at least on the pictorial side of things. Guess I’ll get busy painting and weaving until you hear from me again!

  1. Nice colours you’ve achieved. Good luck with the technical overhaul.

    1. I have an equally old laptop, but it has nothing in the way of extra software, it’s basically a “sickleave on the couch internet computer”, and apart from my headaches and back pains I’m hardly ever sick, so it’s not getting a lot of use. Sometimes it’s a “sit in the garden pavillion during heat waves to write stuff” computer. A handmedown from my FIL, so there’s another lucky turn. My mum recently bought a newer car, so now I have one too! Cool, huh? Now I’m just waiting for that 8 shaft table loom to fall in my lap, LOL.

    1. Hoping to use it with some blue/green cottolin yarns for weaving something summery, don’t you think they would add a little extra life to the fabric?
